The portfolio has been split into 3 sections. Web Design, Graphics and Illustrations and Print work.
Below are the websites, templates and layouts I've designed and built. Note that some of my work is no longer online or has been redesigned, so an archived version or screenshot is provided:
Eid Magazine LondonThe Eid Magazine website was developed to complement the publication distributed in the Greater London area. The site contains past editions of the magazine and information for advertisers and distribution. The challenge was to design the website to reflect the current look and feel of existing Eid Magazine material that was already in distribution.
Halal Chicken ServicesA straightforward one-page website and logo design to advertise a Dundee based business.
The BMX CentreThe BMX centre was a fairly straightforward project. An 8 page static website to showcase what the The BMX Centre had to offer.
Yusuf Youth InitiativeThe YYI previously had a website that was in need of a re-design. Although much of the content from the previous site was kept, I changed the overall design to bring it up to date and reflect what the organisation was about.
The Sopranos - Family TreeThis website is a small interactive guide to the central characters and plot for the TV show, The Sopranos.
I made this largely to try out a few ideas and techniques I had, mainly the detailed pop-up information boxes.
Utopia Planitia YardsUtopia Planitia Yards is something I made in my spare time. I wanted to use several different web development techniques I had not had a chance to use yet.
I decided to use them all in one website, and eventually ended up making Utopia Planitia Yards.
“Black Tree” RedesignThis is layout was made to try out a few new ideas and techniques, like the articles and links boxes. Also the design is fluid - which means it will stretch to accommodate whatever screen width you are using.
“Las Vegas” RedesignThis is a slight re-design I made of my old website. It started out as a vector illustration of the famous Las Vegas road sign and eventually the rest of the page followed in a similar style.
“Web 2.0” ClichéThis was my attempt at creating a generic "Web 2.0" layout that was popular around 2005. It has all the clichés: Rounded boxes, gradients, oversized fonts and a lot of white space.
CSS Zen GardenThis design is my submission to the popular design website, CSS Zen Garden. The challenge was to design the layout of the page without altering the structure or content of the page. I wrote the stylesheet and drew the images to transform the page into an create a unique design
Azeem Alim Design Ver.1This is the first version of my website. After a few years it was re-designed into the current version.
